Jugni Style’s London Correspondent, Deepti Chadalavada, was front and centre at London Fashion Week this season, taking in iconic shows and reviewing Autumn/Winter collections.
Zoe Jordan, winner of several upcoming designer awards, proved her worth with a refined, luxurious collection, while Felder Felder stayed true to their sexy, young spirit. And Orla Kiely gave us everything we’d ever want – a tea party and fabulous vintage style!
Here’s Deepti’s review of Orla Keily’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection.
Orla Keily presented her collection at a vintage themed, dance tea party. As I helped myself to cakes and tea, models danced away to the happy tunes of the live band. The models swished around in tea dresses with forest prints, a very cute fox print, and 60s inspired colours while sporting sparkly socks with shoes.
The colours may have been muted tones of beige, burgundy, black and blue but sparkles added fun details to the looks, with a sequin collar on dresses or shiny textures on skirts. Everyone was smiling (including the models!) at this fun presentation that revived the tea dances of the past.
Favourites: A patent deep red bag, the perfect accompaniment to a vintage inspired dress. The fox print dresses that added a bit of fun. The gold sequined collar that gave an unexpected edge to a traditional dress.
