After Manish Arora’s creative, moody fashion film, Holi Holy, Farfetch is the next company to turn to India for their own kitschy, Bollywood-inspired fashion film.
Farfetch is an online luxury shopping portal that sources designer clothing from speciality boutiques around the world. Last week, they hosted a swanky launch party in Mumbai, where Sonam Kapoor, Masaba and Jacqueline Fernandez joined Farfetch owners to fete their new association with the Mumbai-based boutique, Le Mill.
Farfetch also created a short fashion film inspired by Bollywood to mark the occasion. “DISHOOM!” stars clothing by Comme de Garcons, Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior and Guiseppe Zanotti, but we were disappointed about the absence of Indian designers (Manish Arora would have been a natural fit).
