Here’s a fun party idea: project 2001: A Space Odyssey (or Eyes Wide Shut for the more adventurous) on the wall, create a selection of film-inspired cocktails, and play movie-inspired charades.
With the launch of the Canadian premiere of the Stanley Kubrick exhibition in Toronto, O&B’s Luma Restaurant has introduced an enticing selection of Kubrick-inspired cocktails to celebrate the legendary film auteur. The Stanley Kubrick exhibition at TIFF offers film fans a look inside the mind and life of one of the world’s greatest filmmakers, whose iconic films include 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, and The Shining.
“Kubrick Cocktails” at Luma play on the names of Kubrick’s biggest films and charactors: Lady Lyndon, Full Metal Jack, Monolith, and Eyes Wide Open. The cocktails, which usually cost $12, are only $8 from Monday through Wednesday or when purchased with a ticket to the exhibition or film programme.
For those of us who can’t make it to Toronto to sip on these cocktails, the talented mixologists at O&B’s Luma Restaurant have shared the very yummy recipes for five film-inspired cocktails, perfect to serve during the holidays (or anytime of the year, really).
