This warm and fuzzy ad for Tanishq Jewellery features a beautiful woman getting ready for her wedding while her daughter runs around chatting before the wedding ceremony itself. Directed by Gauri Shinde, who was behind the understated and elegant film, English Vinglish, the ad is somewhat progressive because it centres around the idea that a woman with a child can get married again and be happy in India. It’s not like bridal magazines or wedding ads anywhere in the world cater to divorced or widowed women, or even women marrying past the age of 40.
