Delhi Couture Week is our favourite Indian fashion week, and not just because Sonam Kapoor can always be expected to make a memorable appearance. Delhi is where serious players from the fashion industry come out and strut their stuff.

Sadly, Bollywood seems to be slowly infiltrating its way into this more elite fashion week (Sridevi walking at Sabyasachi? Madhuri at Anju Modi?), but we still think Delhi holds a regal allure that leaves Mumbai’s flashy Lakme Fashion Week a bit wanting. We of course always make an exception for Sonam Kapoor, but we don’t really think of her as much of an actress, but as more of a fashionable socialite/future celebrity designer (it’s only a matter of time).

While she walked the ramp for Anamika Khanna last year, this year Sonam was seated front and centre with Pernia Qureshi, celeb stylist/founder of designer online shop, Pernia’s Pop Up (and who styled Sonam in her film Aisha). Both were in gorgeous ensembles by Anamika Khanna, which Sonam offset with a stunning kundan necklace. We love how she was styled, from the hair to her watch, although a lipstick with a touch more colour would have helped her from looking washed out in photographs. Still, she was divine. Did we mention we love the outfit and jewelry? Absolutely elegant.

Desperately Seeking Sonam? We’re a little obsessed with Sonam Kapoor. Okay, a lot. Read the series here.
