When Vancouver’s Dale MacKay was announced winner of the Food Network’s Top Chef Canada, we knew we were in for a treat!
We’ve been following Chef Dale MacKay for quite some time now. As Vancouver foodies are well aware, this talented young chef was at the helm of Lumière and DB Bistro, until he opened his own place in Downtown Vancouver this past May.
Ensemble’s dinner menu combines classic French techniques with influences and flavour profiles from around the world, offering generous-sized, tasty dishes priced from $8-$24.
We indulged in the signature Pulled Pork Sandwich with Celery Root Puree and Watercress for $8.50, and the Vancouver Island Mussels in a Curry Broth with Cilantro and Fries for $18. Pairing these dishes with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon completed our delicious meal.
Ensemble’s interior design also mirror’s Chef MacKay’s fresh, clean and modern culinary vision. Enjoy a casual dinner with friends or take your next hot date there for some great food that won’t leave your pocketbook empty.
Chef MacKay deserves to be Canada’s Top Chef and get’s our Jugni Style seal of approval!
