Rina Dhaka presented an eclectic collection of lehengas and ghararas that highlighted Rajasthani embroidery at India Couture Week 2014.
Rina Dhaka skipped the runway and presented her bridal couture collection at an intimate media preview in Delhi. The use of Rajasthani-inspired gotta pati embroidery resulted in some hits and misses in the collection. Our favourite piece was the red and gold gotta pati lehenga with ivory net dupatta (above photo), which was styled elegantly with sleek, pulled back hair, a statement nath on the nose, and a pearl headpiece.
Trends for Women: Extensive gotta pati work, floral embroidery, and lavish pearl jewellery were nice touches. Ghararas were paired with an assortment of sleeveless tops, capes and long-sleeved blouses.
Colours: Beige, gold, red, ivory and soft pink.
