This is our Summer 2017 anthem: “Immigrants (We Get The Job Done)” is the story of our parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, and neighbours.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator, writer, lyricist, and star of Hamilton, released the music video earlier today for “Immigrants (We Get the Job Done),” a song inspired by a line from “Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down,” from the Broadway play.
The video tells the story of refugees, immigrants, and undocumented peoples – and there are some serious lines and scenes that hit home hard for anyone who has (or whose parents or grandparents have) immigrated to a country like Canada, the USA and the UK.
Watch the official music video for “Immigrants (We Get The Job Done)” by K’naan featuring Residente, Riz MC & Snow Tha Product.
