Jugni Style’s London Correspondent, Deepti Chadalavada, was front and centre at London Fashion Week this season, taking in iconic shows and reviewing Autumn/Winter collections.

Zoe Jordan, winner of several upcoming designer awards, proved her worth with a refined, luxurious collection, while Felder Felder stayed true to their sexy, young spirit. And Orla Kiely gave us everything we’d ever want – a tea party and fabulous vintage style!

Here’s Deepti’s review of Felder Felder’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection.

Felder Felder

Showing at the main showspace, the Felder Felder show was packed with eager fashionistas buzzing in anticipation of what this famous house had to show for Autmun Winter 2012. With celebrities like Alexandra Burke in the front row, the Felder Felder twins did not disappoint with a youthful, colourful collection that seems to have been designed for parts of the world with warmer winters. Shorts, skirts, and dresses all had the signature Felder Felder sex appeal with a more flowing outlook this season.

Taking inspiration from nature, the elements, and colours at dusk, bright oranges, dusty pinks, rich blues, and vibrant golds dominated this collection. A bright technoprint of Irish caves and mountains in shades of orange, blue and red were splashed onto leggings and dressings. Balancing out all this colour were chunky knit sweaters that had details like padded shoulders with tassels and weaves, and paired with their signature skater skirts.

Pieces were styled with Kat Maconie shoes in nature prints and Linda Farrow sunglasses. A high octane, fierce interpretation of nature, the Felder twins gave their followers a collection of flirtaous pieces in destructed, soft shapes.

Favourites: Long dresses with bold thigh-high slits. Techno prints given vibrant colour on a pair of leggings. A gold skater skirt perfectly paired with a dusty pink chunky knit.
