We’ve been looking forward to The Mindy Project ever since Mindy Kaling announced the show had been picked up by Fox, and trust us, the wait was worth it!

You’ll see more non-terrorism associated burkas during The Mindy Project pilot, than you ever will on Fox Network.

Quirky humour, a hopeless romantic, good looking men – The Mindy Project brings us everything we’re looking for in a Tuesday night network comedy. Created, written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated and New York Times best-selling author Mindy Kaling, the show is somewhat reminiscent of Bridget Jones’ Diary, with it’s heroine, Mindy Lahiri (played by Kaling) quoting lines from Meg Ryan films, making drunken speeches at her ex’s wedding, and working 9-to-5 as an OB/GYN.

What we loved: The humour. Mindy pokes fun at herself, love, and being a single women trying to have it all (whatever that means!). She even throws some cleverly crafted race jokes into the mix.

Watch The Mindy Project Pilot online at Fox TV (link only works in the USA). Series premieres on television on September 25, 2012.
