Airy, angular and bright, there’s a reason why so many of Bollywood’s A-listers turn to Payal Khandwala for their Spring, Summer and Resort wardrobes.
From structured blazers to flowing, geometric angled skirts, to elegantly draped saris, Payal Khandwala’s Spring Summer 2016 collection offers wearable, classic pieces that make for a worthwhile wardrobe investment.
The collection was inspired by geometry – angles, circles, symmetry, asymmetry, triangles and parallelograms – and was created with weavers and artisans from Varanasi and Bengal. The bright coral, fuschia, citrine, chartreuse and blush colours are contrasted with metallics on cottons, linens, lightweight handwoven silks, organza, neoprene and handcrafted brocades. Completely the collection is Payal Khandwala’s new jewelry line that also takes inspiration from geometry and creatively uses negative space (“a circle punched from a square bangle becomes a circular pendant”).
