Last week we braved the snow and cold weather to attend Vincent Park's launch of The Cheap Mondays Cult Club. Secret ritual or initiation practice to join? Nope. Instead, we caught a glimpse of Vancouver's hipster set, sipping on whiskey cocktails and swaying gently to a busker singin' the Blues at this Main Street boutique.
If you love jeans, especially skinny jeans, you need to make your way to Vincent Park, where they sell a carefully curated collection of Cheap Mondays jeans for men and women. No low-rise jeans need apply here, the VP owners (cute sisters Lauren and Cara) only carry mid-rise and high-rise jeans for a modest, fashionable, non-thong bearing look.
The Cheap Mondays Cult Club is a loyalty card that gives you one free pair of jeans once you've purchased 8 pairs. Not a bad deal (really, how many jeans do you have in your closet?) and the Swedish origin Cheap Mondays brand retails at under $100. The card also gets you discount deals, access to new merchandise before the public, and invites to cool parties like the 20s Speakeasy themed one we attended.
