Jugni Style’s London Correspondent, Deepti Chadalavada, was front and centre at London Fashion Week this season, taking in iconic shows and reviewing Autumn/Winter collections.
Zoe Jordan, winner of several upcoming designer awards, proved her worth with a refined, luxurious collection, while Felder Felder stayed true to their sexy, young spirit. And Orla Kiely gave us everything we’d ever want – a tea party and fabulous vintage style!
Here’s Deepti’s review of Zoe Jordan’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection.
Zoe Jordan showed an elegant, refined collection of effortless pieces with her Moorish Spanish inspired Autumn Winter collection. Known for her signature tailoring, every piece had beautiful details that balanced the prints and colours of this collection perfectly.
Models presented this thoroughly modern collection with cordrobe hats on their heads, long plaited hair and golden tone eye makeup, with a hint of deep colour on the lips. The colour palette of deep wines, ivory, greys, pinks, oranges and chestnut tones showed us all how to incorporate strong colours into our autumn/winter wardrobes next season. Prints included a luxurious snakeskin, strong leathers and an orgami structure study of the Pompidou centre. Relaxed daywear that every stylish girl would gladly want in her wardrobe, and I was left lusting after every piece!
Favourites: A pink and orange dress that would look great on Indian skin tones. The ivory snakeskin print featured on a shift dress and loose tops. The almost masculine capes balancing out these feminine looks.
