Jugni Style presents: the South Asian Beauty Review. Each product reviewed is tried and tested by the Jugni Style team, and we’ll share what products will work best for every shade of South Asian skin.

Product: L’Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer/Corrector

What Is It: A liquid concealer in a clickable pen. The product comes out onto a brush at the end, and goes on smooth – similar to the Yves St. Laurent Touche Eclat.

What it does: The Magic Lumi Concealer is a two-in-one highlighter and concealer that works to enhance the luminosity and radiance of your skin. Use it to cover darker areas or to highlight your cheekbones and brow line.

What Jugni Style Loves: We really liked this product. It  was easy to apply, went on smooth and stayed on throughout the day. It did a great job of brightening up under-eye circles and minimizing redness around the nose, while having a natural finish.  It’s also very affordable, retailing at around $12.99 at most drugstores across North America.

The only down side is that the Magic Lumi Concealer is too light for darker skin. Two members of the Jugni Style team tried the product, one with darker skin, and one tester on the lighter side of brown. Even with the darkest shade available (Medium), the colour of the concealer was too light on our skin. Tip: We found that if you use the Magic Lumi pen first and dab your usual concealer on top, you can use it as a corrector and you’ll end up using less concealer overall.

Our rating: It’s almost perfect, but we just need one or two more darker shades to work with our skin. 3/5
