Beautiful people from around the world have descended on the French seaside town of Cannes, for its 65th namesake film festival, and we’re on the prowl for a Sonam Kapoor sighting.
Another day of Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai sightings at the 65th Cannes Film Festival. While our glimpses of Sonam are fleeting, there’s a bevy of imagery for Aishwarya Rai’s second day of hanging out in Cannes.
Girlfriend has been MIA for much of the festival, stepping out for a few A-list parties while spending the rest of her time with friends. We make due with a paparazzi-like spotting outside of Hotel Martinez.
Sonam wears a Chloe dress. We don’t like her choice of earrings, but the rest of the ensemble looks great for a day out in the sunny, seaside town.
Sonam’s little sister Rhea tweeted this picture of Sonam while they were out to dinner with the Parikhs (not sure who they are) in Cannes. We like Sonam’s more natural avatar with her hair down better than the severe side bun in the first photograph above.
Amongst all the international gossip and drama over her weight (who cares, really?), we think Aishwarya Rai looked fantastic on her second day out in Cannes. Sure, her sartorial choices aren’t changing the world of fashion, but she looks good and is dressed to enhance her curves, rather than hide them. Except in this Roberto Cavalli caftan.
We like that she experimented by wearing a caftan, something we’ve never seen her wear. This looks great from the front, but the back needs a touch of definition, perhaps a minor amount of cinching at the waist so it wouldn’t look so voluminous. The colours are fantastic for the almost tropical background. Overall, we like it.
At the red carpet for the film premiere of, “Cosmopolis,” Aishwarya went back to her BFF of the design world, Elie Saab. We like Elie. Great, fancy gowns worthy of red carpets everywhere. They’re just not very exciting, and she’s worn him before at Cannes.
Right here, Aishwarya is thinking, I’m hot, so kiss my ass.
We like the colour of the gown, the belt, her hair and her makeup. The gown isn’t innovative and it wouldn’t make our best dressed list, but she looks her usual, beautiful self. An A+ to Aishwarya Rai for coming to Cannes and rocking her post-baby bod on the red carpet. In your face, naysayers.
