On a night of tame red carpet fashion choices, Gwyneth Paltrow’s brilliant Tom Ford white gown and cape shined at the Oscars.

The dress could be too simple, but the fit, cuff and cape make it a standout. And what made us even more happy? The brown people spotted behind her on the carpet. Points for anyone who can tell us who they are (we think they’re part of the Ambani entourage – the Ambani’s being one of the wealthiest families from India and abroad, and are Steven Spielberg funders).

Back to Gwynnie. Her natural makeup, nude lips and smooth hair caught our eye and hit several Spring beauty trends that we love.

Here’s how to get the look.

NARS worked with celebrity makeup artist Leslie Lopez to create Gwyneth’s radiant look at the 84th annual Academy Awards.

“The dress makes such a statement, but it also has no color, so we needed to create a makeup look that complemented the dress and was still sophisticated enough for the red carpet, said celebrity makeup artist, Leslie Lopez for NARS.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, with Super Orgasm Illuminator patted onto the apples of the cheeks. This looks great on darker skin shades as well – the Orgasm Illuminator and Blush compliment every skin tone under the sun, and both are Jugni Style favourites.

The champagne side of NARS Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow applied on the eyelid for a pop of gold, followed by a Maybelline brown liquid eyeliner along the lashline. The look was finished with NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.

We love her eyes, but would opt for black liner to create more definition on darker skin tones.

NARS Odalisque Larger Than Life Lip Gloss creates a natural, nude lip with a hint of pink.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer was also applied to her neck, décolletage, and shoulders.
