Sonam is the brand ambassador for India International Jewellery Week or IIJW, which means she gets to wear fabulous jewelry and get her picture taken, as well as walk the runway in the grand finale show. This year, she was stunning in an Anamika Khanna ensemble paired with traditional polki jewelry. We love the necklace (like, we’re dreaming about it right now), but the bracelets were a bit overkill – although it is a jewelry show so why not?
Sonam also opened the first day of IIJW 2012 in a Dolce Gabbana gown and Nirav Modi jewels while launching, The Great Indian Wedding Book, a couture lovers guide on how to pull off a swanky Indian wedding, including tips from designers JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani and Farah Khan. Our verdict: she looks pretty but a bit boring. We wish she had done something else with her hair.
