Jugni Style’s London Correspondent, Deepti Chadalavada, was front and centre at London Fashion Week this season, taking in iconic shows and reviewing Autumn/Winter collections.

Followed any of the award shows this year? If so, you would have heard the name ISSA pop up several times when British starlets were asked what they were wearing. A favorite with celebrities and even Duchess Kate, ISSA London is known for high glamour with an effortless edge.

Designer Daniela Issa Helayel took a Trans-Siberan journey from Moscow to Being for her AW 2012 collection.

Luxurious fabrics of burnt out velvet, woven gold silk and babushka lace in vibrant colors made their way down the runway in dresses with high necks and show-stopping low backs.

Bold head to toe print took on an Eastern spin with kimono-like silhouettes and patterns used from Ming vases. Described as Russian doll meets James Bond, this collection mixed show stopping floor length gowns with easy to thrown on maxi skirts.

With drop hem dresses, embroidered evening dresses, and the signature, Kate Middleton favorite, wrap dress making an appearance in a beautiful green, this collection was very much vintage and old-world glamour.

Trends in the collection included bold, head-to-toe print, maxi skirts, draping, suede gloves, and fur trimmed accessories. Perfect for the sophisticated, independent girl looking to add some bold color and print into their winter wardrobe.
