When we see, read, or hear about Pink Tartan, we instantly expect something unique, classy and very flirty, so we had high expectations for Pink Tartan’s Spring 2013 show at Toronto Fashion Week. Verdict: She delivered.

This year, Pink Tartan debuted “The Shape of Things to Come” Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Toronto’s World Mastercard Fashion Week. “This collection has been inspired by geometric shapes, sharp lines and defined angles. I have incorporated an intricate geometric cut or detail into each piece of the collection in a nontraditional manner. The end result is a collection that dynamic, exciting  and ultimately Pink Tartan this season,” revealed President and Head Designer, Kim Newport-Mimran (who happens to be married to Joe Mimran, the man behind Joe Fresh).

Now when we said we always expect something great from Pink Tartan – we meant it! This year, making its debut is Newport-Mimran’s shoe design exclusively created for ALDO Rise. “Working with the ALDO team has been an amazing experience. They gave me the creative freedom to design a shoe that best captures Pink Tartan and is the perfect complement to the look, feel and style of S/S 2013,” said Newport-Mimran.

The show was styled by Annabel Tollman, who is best known for her glamorous A-list clients like Scarlett Johansson, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Mariah Carey, and Liv Tyler.
