Pretty frocks, camel overcoats and coloured fur collars are all the rage this season, according to Canadian designer Kim Newport, who showcased her Pink Tartan: The Washable Collection in Toronto and Vancouver this week.
The designer was in Vancouver on Wednesday, September 25, where she presented a lovely collection of ultra-feminine dresses, skirts and pant suits at The Hudson Bay Company. Pink Tartan partnered with Tide to create a durable, washable micro-collection that hit key Fall 2013 trends like knee-length hems, pink, prints, and coloured fur, all paired with bright lip colours, which we loved. The collection makes use of more durable fabrics so that you can save a few dollars at the dry cleaner and wash your pretty dresses and sweaters at home.
Bonus Info: Kim is also the better half of Canada’s ultimate designer couple – her husband is Joe Mimran, the brains behind Joe Fresh and the original co-founder of Club Monaco.
