The Talent Box is home to crazy couture, structural pieces and experimental designs – but at Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2011, we were a little disappointed.
Designers Manjree Jindal and Aditya Khandelwal caught our interest with their feminine silouettes, but we’re sending Kapil and Monika Arora the way of Niskha Lulla – their gowns are more Prom ’98 than Couture ’11.
The Future of Fashion presentations were more exciting, with Little Shilpa presenting Manish Arora-eque looks down the runway, and Swapnil Shinde’s ultra feminine long, flowing gowns. Sponsored by DHL, each designer collection was inspired by DHL delivery services. Strange? Corporate synergy going to far, much like Rajesh Pratap Singh’s Grey Goose collection at IIFA Rocks 2011? Let us know what you think.
